EducoCentral (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates a connected ecosystem of education products including Gradeazy, Engage, CareerPath, EducoHire, TestHiring and EducoTrain. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our products you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: name, email, organization, role, phone (optional) and credentials you provide when registering.
- Institutional data: rosters, classes, assessment configurations, results and analytics provided by your institution.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, device, browser, IP address, approximate location and timestamps.
- Content: submissions, responses, uploads, messages and any other content you create on the platform.
- Communications: support requests, feedback, and email/marketing interactions.
2. How we use information
- To deliver, secure, maintain and improve the EducoCentral products.
- To authenticate users, prevent fraud and protect the integrity of assessments.
- To generate analytics and insights for institutions and learners.
- To communicate updates, support responses and — with consent — marketing messages.
- To meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
3. Legal bases
We process data under one or more of the following bases: performance of a contract with you or your institution, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating the platform, and compliance with law.
4. Sharing
We never sell personal data. We share data only with: (a) your institution, (b) sub-processors who help us run the platform under contract (hosting, email, analytics, support), (c) authorities when legally required, and (d) successors in the event of a merger or acquisition with continued protections.
5. Data retention
We retain data for as long as your institution maintains an active subscription, or as required for legal, audit and integrity purposes. On request or termination, data is deleted or anonymized within 90 days unless retention is legally required.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Access is role-based and logged. See our security page for details.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, export or restriction of your personal data. Institutional users should route requests through their administrator; individuals can contact us directly.
8. Children's data
Where EducoCentral is used by K-12 institutions, data of minors is processed under instructions from the institution acting as data controller. We do not use minors' data for advertising.
9. International transfers
Data may be processed in India and other countries where we or our sub-processors operate. We use appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses where required.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
